Herndon's Principal

Herndon's most recent principal was very caught up in being "the principal" and did not actually end up meeting or supporting students on a personal level. Our stand in principal since October has been in Mr. Stroud's trailer more than a handful of times, beating every other principal in Stroud's history at the school, all in just a couple of months. That kind of direct connection to the teachers and the support given to all students showed what kind of a principal is necessary to carry out the true duties of that post. Mr. Bates, newly chosen principal for Herndon, has big shoes to fill, ironically enough from a stand in principal, hopefully he is up to the task.

  1. I agree that Mr. Cooper exemplified what a principle should strive to do. It is too bad that he cannot become our permanent principal, but I hope Mr. Bates will do a good job. It hardly matters for us as seniors anyways.
